  • Synopsis
  • A young couple is deeply in love with each other. Seh-hee and Ji-woo have been going out for two years. But as time slowly passes on, Seh-hee becomes anxious. She is worried if Ji-woo will get tired of her. So she becomes hysteric whenever Ji-woo pays the slightest attention to another woman. But one day, just as she worried, Ji-woo can't make love to Seh-hee. Only when she suggests him picture another woman, Ji-woo can have sex with her. Now Seh-hee is both anxious and frustrated. She is also sorry that her look is always the same, and her presence can't give him a fresh impression every time they meet. Ji-woo also feels that Seh-hee's proposal to think about another when making love is too extreme.
The next day, Seh-hee disappears. Ji-woo can't find her anywhere and her mobile phone is disconnected. While Ji-woo agonizes over Seh-hee's loss, she secretly goes to a plastic surgeon. Despite the doctor's discouragement that she is pretty enough, Seh-hee completely changes her look.

When Ji-woo goes to the island where he went with Seh-hee to take pictures, he meets a woman on the way. She is wearing big sunglasses and mask that covers up her face. Still she is attractive with a body so glamorous. Ji-woo addresses her at a park on the island where there are many sculptures. She seems to enjoy his company. Yet when Ji-woo tries to follow her to get closer, she suddenly disappears.
Ji-woo meets several other women, but whenever he is about to engage physically with those women, something interferes. Sometimes, women are warned off by someone, at other times, a rock is thrown to shatter glasses of a hotel room where Ji-woo is about to have sex.

One day, Ji-woo finds an attractive waitress of a café where he regularly went with Seh-hee. Surprisingly he discovers that the name of the waitress is similar to Seh-hee. Her name is See-hee. Ji-woo meets See-hee on the island, too, when he visits the island a few days later. He slowly falls for her. Ji-woo thanks See-hee that she makes him feel what he has never felt before. See-hee is happy with his remark. She asks him what he would do if Seh-hee returns, and Ji-woo honestly answers he doesn't know. A few days later, Ji-woo receives a letter from Seh-hee. She wants to come back to Ji-woo. After much contemplation, Ji-woo decides to break up with See-hee to go back to Seh-hee. See-hee violently protests, shouting and cursing, and Ji-woo leaves her in disgust. When Ji-woo is gone, See-hee gradually smiles with a strange satisfaction. When Ji-woo goes to the café to meet Seh-hee, he finds See-hee wearing a mask made of Seh-hee's facial photo. Ji-woo can see See-hee's face through the gap between her face and the photo. Finally, the whole story dawns on him. The woman in the island and See-hee are actually Seh-hee. She tells him she did it because she loves him that much. She wants to love him and be loved by him forever by changing her look, and appearing as a different woman before him. Offended and shocked, Ji-woo leaves her. See-hee follows him, but he disappears. He is nowhere to be found.
Ji-woo goes to the plastic surgeon who operated on Seh-hee. He wants to get a surgery, himself. A few months later, the doctor hints to See-hee that Ji-woo will appear before her with a totally different look because Ji-woo loves her. From then on, whenever See-hee meets a guy, she wonders if it is Ji-woo. So she meets man after man, and finally someone who resembles Ji-woo shows up. When the two make love, the man confesses that he is not Ji-woo. Desperate See-hee begins to go after any man. When a man she chases is hit by a car and dies, she undergoes another surgery. This time, she wants nobody to recognize her.
