It is early 60's, definitely a trying time for Hong Kong. Unemployed Ying (Esther Kwan) has just been given a job as a ticket-seller by the Tung Sing Cinema on her friend Suk (Angela Tong)'s recommendation. Ying works very diligently and responsibly and is therefore highly regarded by her boss Yin (Lawrence Ng). However, when Ying keeps stating that there is an apparition around the cinema, Yin soon gets irritated. In time, Ying and Yin see the spirit Sin (Kingdom Yuen) and from her, they learn that Yin's step-mother Mui (Mary Hon) has been having an affair with the manager of the cinema, Lai (Felix Lok), and that they have planned to seize Yin's property. With the assistance of Ying and Sin, Yin can finally get the two swindlers arrested.

Having been through so many things together, Yin has gradually yet unconsciously developed strong passion for Ying. Meanwhile, Ying falls for nobody but her own boyfriend Kwok (Cheng Tse Sing). Will Ying accept Yin's love at last? Will Tung Sing Cinema stay haunted in the days ahead?
