  • Synopsis
  • Andy Lau stars in A Fighter’s Blues, his 100th film, as Mong Fu (Tiger), an international kick-boxer who ends up in prison for accidentally killing an opponent in a fight. Looking back at his life when he was a professional boxer, Tiger remembers how he met a Thai reporter, Pim, in Hong Kong and fell in love with her.

    It has been 12 years since then, and in his search for Pim he discovers that she has died and left him a daughter, Ploy, who is bring taken care of in an orphanage. There, he meets Mioko, a Japanese nun who helps him understand his daughter better. A Thai boxer recognizes Tiger and wants to avenge the death of the Chartchai, the boxer accidentally killed by Tiger. Tiger accepts the challenge, but with a new understanding and philosophy of boxing, that is to learn from mistake.
