Nonoue Junichi (Ninomiya Kazunari) is a psychiatrist who provides psychological care to cancer patients in a counselling room at a seaside cancer treatment centre in South Boso. Junichi cannot get used to the nature of the healthcare provided by the city’s university hospital. He is asked by one of his patients to write a letter and wanting to be of help, Junichi starts letterwriting to convey the final thoughts of these patients to their loved ones
