Keita Takamura (Yuji Oda) and his fiancee Ellen (Juri Ueno) - 20 years younger than him - are in the Mediterranean city of Nice, France. They are here to see Ellen’s parents who live in this region to get their approval for marriage. Keita visits the winery operated by Ellen’s parents and meets them for the first time and is shocked. It turns out that Ellen’s mother is actually his ex-girlfriend from college (Shinobu Otake). The fact that his wife’s mother is his ex-girlfriend confuses Keita, but luckily, Rie lives far away in France. They won’t have to see each other that often...

But fate takes a dark turn when Keita returns to Japan. Everything had been going well with Keita’s job, but he discovers that he has become a target of restructuring. One day, somebody rings the doorbell of Keita and Ellen’s new home. Standing in front of the door is Rie, who has come back to Japan.

Theme song Hug, Hug by Oda Yuji.
