  • Synopsis
  • Xu Lai (played by Xu Zheng), who once dream of becoming a painter, has instead become a middle-aged man who has abandoned his ideals. When he goes on a trip to Hong Kong with his wife (played by Zhao Wei) and her family, he plans to secretly meet up with his high school sweetheart (played by Du Juan) who is in Hong Kong.

    Lala (played by Bao Bei’er), a silly youngster who once sold pirated DVDs, now chases his dream of becoming a director, and joins his family on their trip to Hong Kong to make a documentary. Besides capturing Hong Kong’s scenery and food, his footage also happens to capture his brother-in-law’s bad intentions.

    The two try to chase and shake one another from Mong Kong to Central and from Nathan Road to Causeway Bay on a tumultuous, splendid journey through Hong Kong. The quest to go on a date turns into a thrilling adventure fraught with peril.
