    Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. However, when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer, and a battle of wits, deception and logic ensues...

    Death Note (Movie 1)
    A Shinigami, the God of Death, dropped a Death Note in the human world. The human whose name is written in the Death Note shall die. Light Yagami, an extremely bright elite university student, picks up this Death Note and decides to use it to create an ideal world by judging criminals at his discretion.

    Meanwhile, a mysterious detective “L” was placed in the Japanese police force to investigate the deaths. ‘L” well known for his information gathering and reasoning skills, suspects Light Yagami as the cause of the criminals death. However, Light cleverly manipulates the Death Note to shake off the investigation.

    Death Note : The Last Name (Movie 2)
    The mystery deepens as another Death note is brought ot the human world. Then another Shinigami the death, Rem joints the mystery. Jealous, a death falls in love with a human. Plus a second and a third Kira compliate the mystery.. The rules of the death note complications that even confound the two geniuses. Making things unpredictable are the "Eyes of the death" given to the second Kira, enableing the owner to know the true identity and the lifespan of any person, and who gets hold of the "trimp card" which will determine the outcome of the events, and who will be the last person whose name is writtten in the death note..

    Death Note : L Change The World (Movie 3)
    Ken'ichi Matsuyama reprises his role as L Lawliet from the previous Death Note films. The film chronicles the final 23 days of L's life, as he solves one final case involving a bioterrorist group that aims to wipe out much of humanity with a virus with ten times the infectiousness of Ebola, taking a boy, the sole survivor of its use in a village in Thailand, and a junior high schooler named Maki Nikaido under his wing.

    Shunji Fujimura also reprises his role as Watari, though he dies early in the film as per the events of The Last Name. The characters Misa Amane, death god Ryuk, and Light Yagami also all have brief cameos in the film.
