Synopsis
Detective Dee Ren Jie is based on Chinese historical figure, Di Ren Jie, a Magistrate and Statesman of the court during the Tang Dynasty (630-700AD). Detective Dee (Andy Lau) was called back by Empress Wu (Carina Lau) from exile to investigate a series of murders. Empress Wu, the first and only female emperor to ever rule China, was preparing to officially announce her place in throne when the people closer to her was murdered.

Synopsis
