He lives with his friend’s bookstore enjoying the new amazing products of western civilizations and culture, caring little for his way to success. But Deok Moo’s life is turned upside down when his father is eliminated by a rival, the first vice-premier named Cho, and sent away on exile.

With extreme lust for power and money, Cho also frames the loyal superintendent, Baek Dong Soo who oversees the nation’s storage of ice, the most valuable commodity of the time before the invention of modern day refrigerator which is kept in an ice house built with stones.

Getting rid of anyone who stands in his way, Cho takes possession of all power and commercial supremacy over ice. And with his command, more and more powerless commoners are forced to collect ice from cold winter rivers driving them to death.

Unable to stand Cho’s tyranny, Deok Moo gathers a group of experts in various fields: tactics, weapons, explosives, underwater diving, camouflage and last but not least, Baek. With the help of the best experts, Deok Moo executes his clever plans to rob the entire storage of ice which will be used for the crown prince’s birthday party that will initiate Cho’s downfall.
