Gradually, their love grows, which KAI-FONG's neighbour and best friend, KO KWAI-FUN (Samantha Ko), cannot let go of. Though fish peddler KWAI-FUN, whose beauty resembles a stunning diva, tries every means possible to flirt with PAK-YIP, she still cannot create any chemistry with him. Unexpectedly, HUNG SIN (King Kong), heir to a Taiwanese Tan-Tsu noodles business, begins to take a fancy to KWAI-FUN, and he even roughs it in the subdivided flat together with KAI-FONG and the others so as to get to know KWAI-FUN better. Since KWAI-FUN’s effort goes unnoticed by PAK-YIP, she shifts her focus to court his elder brother, LAU LEI-KO (Timothy Cheng).

Later on, facing growing negative criticism over his girlfriend KAI-FONG, PAK-YIP cannot bear it anymore, which eventually sours his relationship with KAI-FONG. When there's no such thing as unconditional love, and the line between good and bad becomes blurred, love transforms to a predatory affair, catapulting everyone, both male and female, to the brink of war...
