  • ストーリー紹介
  • This live action adapation of Go Nagai's crowning masterpiece is a complete departure from the story of the original. This bizarre adaptation, which features almost no demons other than a couple of brief CGI interludes, is for the most part about humans killing humans as anti-demon histeria breaks out. The film seems to have been shot in totally unrelated one minute segments with no bearing on the overall story as it jumps from character to character and scene to scene. After giving almost no backstory, it rapidly launches into a fragmented version of the Apocolypse of Devilman story arc, leaving the viewer grasping blindly for the plot as Ryo somehow becomes posessed by Satan himself and concludes the movie by destroying not only Devilman, but himself, along with the whole rest of the world. The two most obvious villians, Ginmen and Selene, both of which feature prominantly in the OVA, appear only for brief cameos.
