ストーリー紹介
The detective of Jinan Mansion, Qin Qiong (Yan Kuan) who was honorable and having excellent master skill, was arrested to Beiping Mansion due to the countercharge. With the effort of his cousin, Luo Cheng (Zhang Han), he claimed a connection with Prince of Beiping, Luo Yi at court. Prince of Jin, Yang Guang (Fu Dalong) who made contribution in the war laid a clique at Crown Prince, Yang Yong's door. He murdered his father Emperor Wen and brothers to get crowned as Emperor Yang of Sui. The debauch by Emperor Yang and his concubines in the political arena and inner palace caused the raise of rebellion.

Qin Qiong was assigned to investigate on the robbing of Yang Lin's public order by Cheng Yaojin (Jiang Wu), however, Qin Qiong was too loyal to his buddy that he pretended as Cheng Yaojin to desert to an officer. Prince of Kaoshan, Yang Lin appreciated Qin Qiong, he awarded him as adopted-son and married her daughter Princess Yu (Wang Like) to him. At the wedding night, Qin Qiong left faintly after discovering the fact of his father's murder by Yang Lin.

When the heroes gathered to celebrate for the birthday of Qin's mother, Cheng Yaojin and You Junda were arrested by Yang Lin, Qin Qiong and comrades thereafter stationed in Wagang for insurrection after saving both of them. In Wagang, Cheng Yaojin became the "Demon King of Chaos". This begun a turbulent period known as the transition from a short-lived Sui to Tang, when heroes such as Qin Qiong, Shan Xiongxin, Cheng Yaojin and Xu Maogong rose up to overthrow the Sui Dynasty...
