  • ストーリー紹介
  • Just like Storm Rider (1998), Twins Effect is a Hong Kong production released with an eye on the international market. The somewhat puzzling titles of the movie in fact cannot be simpler. It capitalises on the phenomenal success of the pop group Twins, the two young girls who were catapulted to stardom within months of their debut, winning the heart of Hong Kong fans from three to eighty. Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung have since ventured into the real of the silver screen, making movie is separately as well as together as in this one. This movie is made for the Twins.

The two male leads Ekin Cheng (Reeve the champion of the Vampire prince) and Edison Chan (Kazaf the vampire prince) are reduced to what I might coin as "supporting-lead" roles. Those who have seen the Storm Rider would remember Cheng as the model heroin the excellent adaptation of Hong Kong's most popular comic series. The other male lead, young pop idol Chan, born and raise in Vancouver, made his film debut in another internationally released Hong Kong movie Gen-Y Cops (2000).
